These days more and more domain names are being stolen. By changing domain name lock flag to locked, you can prevent accidental (or deliberate) transfer of domain name to another registrar.
After setting registrar-lock flag your domain name will be protected against an automatic domain name transfer request originating from any registrar. If you would like to transfer your domain name to another registrar you will have to unlock it first.
